Jim Duer brings a unique blend of personal experience and professional expertise to Operation Healing Forces (OHF). Having attended an OHF retreat with his wife, Jim knows firsthand the healing and connection these programs provide and that perspective drives his commitment to serving the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community.
Over the past 15+ years, Jim has served the SOF community in many roles: as a Special Forces Engineer Sergeant, contractor, and Department of Defense civilian. This journey allowed him to work with service members from across all branches of SOF, giving him a deep understanding of their challenges and a strong desire to give back.
Jim and his wife Christina, married since 2008, are the proud parents of two boys. Their family stays busy with hockey, soccer, competitive swim, and Boy Scouts, with Jim and Christina dedicated to supporting their children’s passions and growth.
He holds an MBA from William & Mary, a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from the University of Charleston, along with certifications as a Salesforce Associate, Certified Project Director, Master Resiliency Trainer, and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Today, Jim continues his service by helping OHF deliver world class support and healing opportunities to SOF families. His personal connection, leadership background, and passion for this mission make him a dedicated advocate for those who have given so much in defense of our nation.
