Jeff Tannery brings more than 25 years of U.S. Army service to his role as a Retreat Project Manager at Operation Healing Forces, including 15 years in Special Forces. His military career included multiple combat deployments and training missions throughout Asia during the Global War on Terrorism. That experience—combined with a strong background in leadership and team coordination—helps shape thoughtful, well-executed retreats for the veterans and families OHF serves.
Jeff’s own journey includes overcoming significant injuries sustained in combat and training, including multiple traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). His path to healing gives him a deep sense of empathy and connection with retreat participants, as well as a sincere commitment to helping others find their own way forward.
In 2023, Jeff and his wife attended an OHF retreat that marked a turning point in their healing journey as a family. That time together—free from everyday distractions—helped them reconnect and reminded Jeff just how important family is in the recovery process.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Troy University and is a Certified Project Director (CPD) through the Center for Project Innovation. Jeff is honored to be part of the OHF team and is passionate about supporting other veterans and their families through meaningful, restorative experiences.
