A recent in-kind contribution from Jockey International, Inc. is bringing meaningful support to Special Operations Forces service members and veterans through Operation Healing Forces.
Operation Healing Forces received 100 weighted blankets from Jockey, each one intended to provide comfort and stability for individuals navigating the long-term effects of service. Distribution has already begun, with OHF SOAR team members placing blankets directly into the hands of veterans at the Tampa VA. Additional blankets will continue to be distributed as needs arise.
For many within the Special Operations Forces community, the demands of service do not end when the mission is complete. The physical toll, combined with ongoing stress and disrupted routines, can continue to impact daily life, particularly when it comes to rest and recovery. Quality sleep remains one of the most critical, yet often most difficult, aspects of overall well-being.
Supporting Recovery Through Rest and Comfort
Weighted blankets offer a practical, research-supported way to improve sleep and promote relaxation. By applying gentle, even pressure across the body, they help regulate the nervous system, reduce restlessness, and encourage deeper, more consistent sleep cycles.
For veterans managing stress, anxiety, or the lingering effects of operational demands, this added sense of calm can make a meaningful difference. Improved sleep supports physical recovery and strengthens mental and emotional resilience over time.
A Meaningful Contribution from Jockey
“As we celebrate our 150th year as a company, we’ve had a longstanding commitment to support those who have served our country,” said Jake McGhee, Vice President of New Business Development & Community at Jockey International, Inc. “We love the Operation Healing Forces mission to restore lives, strengthen families and honor sacrifice. We know that our weighted blankets can add that extra bit of comfort and support to those who need it, and this is a small way for us to say thank you to veterans who have given so much.”
This contribution reflects a shared commitment to honoring service in a way that is both practical and personal. It delivers meaningful support that can be felt in the moments when rest and recovery are needed most.
Delivering Support When It Matters
Operation Healing Forces continues to place these weighted blankets into the hands of Special Operations Forces service members and veterans as needs arise. Through the SOAR program, support is delivered with intention, ensuring that each individual receives resources that align with their unique circumstances.
Each blanket represents more than a donation. It represents care, consideration, and a broader commitment to strengthening the well-being of those who have carried the weight of our nation’s most demanding missions.
As these blankets continue to reach veterans, they will provide comfort, improve rest, and support recovery in a way that is both lasting and meaningful.

OHF SOAR Program Manager Phillip Fong visited the Tampa VA, delivering weighted blankets to several service members and veterans in need.
