Operation Healing Forces Hosts Naples Evening of Honor and Impact in Support of America’s Special Operations Forces Families
Operation Healing Forces (OHF) welcomed community leaders, distinguished military veterans, and dedicated supporters to its Naples Evening of Honor and Impact, an event centered on strengthening the families of America’s Special Operations Forces.
The evening reflected a shared commitment to those who serve in the nation’s most elite units and to the spouses and families who stand beside them. While Special Operations Forces operate in environments defined by complexity and consequence, the strength and stability of their families remain foundational to sustained readiness.
Former Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia Glenn Youngkin and Lieutenant General (Ret.) Francis M. Beaudette served as featured speakers. Governor Youngkin, a longstanding advocate for military members, veterans, and their families, offered perspective on the evolving landscape of American foreign policy, leadership, and the collective national responsibility to support those who defend our freedoms, particularly within the Special Operations community.
Lieutenant General Beaudette brought decades of senior military leadership experience to the dialogue, underscoring the essential connection between operational excellence and strong, supported families at home.
The evening was further distinguished by the presence of two respected members of OHF’s National Advisory Council. Major General (Ret.) John Borling introduced the moderated discussion. A U.S. Air Force fighter pilot shot down over Vietnam, Major General Borling endured six and a half years as a prisoner of war at the Hanoi Hilton before returning to serve in senior leadership roles. His life and service stand as a testament to resilience, courage, and enduring commitment to country.
Command Sergeant Major (Ret.) Curt Donaldson, who served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor of the 75th Ranger Regiment, also joined in support of the mission and the families who strengthen the force behind the force.
A defining moment of the evening came from within the Special Operations community itself. OHF alumni Command Sergeant Major Chris Miller and his wife, Sherita, shared how their participation in an Operation Healing Forces therapeutic retreat strengthened their relationship and created lasting impact for their family. Their testimony reflected the core purpose of OHF’s programs: restoring connection, reinforcing resilience, and providing structured opportunities for healing and renewal.
Through the generosity of attendees, sponsors, and supporters, nearly $1.2 million was raised to advance OHF’s mission. These resources will directly support therapeutic retreats, reintegration programs, and holistic wellness initiatives designed specifically for the unique demands placed on Special Operations Forces families.
Operation Healing Forces extends its sincere gratitude to every individual and organization that contributed to the success of the Naples Evening of Honor and Impact. The impact of this gathering will extend well beyond a single evening, strengthening families and reinforcing the readiness of those who serve.
