Admiral Frank M. Bradley, Commander of U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), joined Operation Healing Forces (OHF) as the distinguished speaker for the Tampa Evening of Honor & Impact, bringing together military leaders, community partners, supporters, and members of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) community in support of OHF’s mission.
During a fireside chat with OHF CEO Kerry Irvin, Admiral Bradley shared his perspective on the demands facing today’s Special Operations Forces, the evolving global security environment, and the sacrifices made by SOF service members and their families. Their conversation underscored the importance of ensuring the Special Operations community has continued support throughout the unique demands of service.
10 Tampa Bay News Anchor and Gold Star daughter Courtney Robinson served as Mistress of Ceremonies, guiding guests through a program that reflected both the mission of OHF and the experiences of the Special Operations community. The evening also recognized OHF’s 15 years of Creating Bonds That Cure and the continued growth of programs supporting SOF service members, veterans, and their families.
Among the evening’s most meaningful moments was hearing from OHF alumni Lieutenant Colonel Nic Guillet and his wife, Tammy, who shared their family’s story after more than two decades of military service. They reflected on the demands of a career in Special Operations and the impact those experiences can have on a marriage and family.
Nic and Tammy shared how attending an OHF Therapeutic Couples Retreat gave them dedicated time to reconnect and strengthen their relationship. Their story gave guests a firsthand look at the purpose behind OHF’s Therapeutic Retreat Program and why creating opportunities for connection remains an important part of supporting SOF families.
Throughout the evening, guests also learned more about the reach of OHF’s programs, including the Therapeutic Retreat Program and Special Operations Additional Resources (SOAR) Program, which provide resources designed to strengthen relationships, address immediate needs, promote resilience, and support long-term well-being.
